I'm always getting told I shouldn't go outside in thunderstorms because I could get struck by lightning and die...
But in a country of 300 million people, only 20 die a year of getting struck by lightning
For context, 13 people die a year (in the USA) from vending machine-related accidents.
So really, every two times I use a vending machine is more dangerous than going out into a thunderstorm.
People are really bad at measuring actual risk.
And I'm actually going out in thunderstorms and nobody can stop me.

ChesTacos @Stringbean well sometimes people want extra food and in the process of attempting to get it they accidently knock over the vending machine and it crushes them (this is more common than say the vending machine tipping over by itself or someone else pushing the vending machine over)

Just did the interview, it was a lot of fun! The interviewers were very nice, the studio was very cool, and the intern who showed me around was distractingly pretty.

my parents were in France with my sister for a week, so I was in charge of my 5 younger siblings for that week, then was very busy with ghost walk then got sick, and now, am catching up on everything, but I should be back now, to do more than scroll.
