Kale wrote:I have been debating with myself for some time about doing this, and I had hoped it would not be necessary, but with the release of the radio play and the lack of credit to @Dreamy or @Evander, I feel that it is time, and appropriate, to say this.
I do not want my name associated with the script for Sea Fever. Substantial changes were made to it without my knowledge or my input, and those changes have lead to a drastically different story being told, one I cannot bear to have my name associated with.
I am sorry to rain on everyone else's parade, but I cannot remain silent about this betrayal any longer.

Remember that comment I made a while back about how periods are (or not) being depicted in media is important? Here's an example of why:

StellaThomas So one of my friends was finishing her intern year and felt like crap but assumed it was just 80 hour work weeks but she checked her bloods and her haemoglobin was *8.2*. Normal is 12. We transfuse people at 8. Purely from menorrhagia (heavy periods). She's fine- a colleague admitted her and gave her IV iron. While it's true that it is blood that is already in your uterus... how do they think... the blood gets there... every month your body prepares your uterus for pregnancy by pumping it full of blood... from blood vessels...
I also remember that passage in Twilight. Freaking ridiculous. "Not real blood" read a book.

Global warming was recognized as a global crisis back in the 1960s. This article provides a lot of the history of how the science emerged, how the government of the time responded, and how the plans to avert the crisis of global warming ultimately failed.
It's a long, sobering read, and I highly recommend it.

Kyll in 1995: Internet friendship is not even a concept that exists.
Kyll in 2005: Real life friends are obviously better than internet friends in every possible way.
Kyll in 2015: All my truest friends are internet friends and I am okay with this.
Kyll in 2025: Will have probably added an AI or three to the Digital Friend Brigade.

It just occurred to me that posting Draft 0 of #Princessence on a publicly viewable forum is not a great idea when it comes to first publication rights because I'd have to manually delete the text from each individual post for however many weeks I last in #LMS . Which would seriously suck because I'm projecting the story will hit ~120k. Which means 120 weeks and 120 posts.
So with future plans in mind, I'm going to be moving the weekly posting of my LMS progress to my blog which you have to be logged in to even view and, more importantly, has bulk editing options.
It's not like I currently use my blog for anything else.
beckiw I may steal this idea...

And I'm hopping on board the #cinnamonroll train with #Princessence because WHY NOT.
looks like they could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll: The Witch, who is a whole lot scarier via reputation than she is in person.
looks like a cinnamon roll but can actually kill you: The Queen, Yisa. Holy heavens, Yisa. And the Princess too.
looks like a cinnamon roll and is actually a cinnamon roll: The Seer, the Foreign Prince, and the Prince(ss) are all as sweet as they seem.
looks like they could kill you and can actually kill you: The Advisor, Kimmora. Do not mess with Kimmora, her Queen, or her Queen's children unless you want to be happily destroyed. Kimmora is not a nice person unless you are either her Queen or beloved by her Queen.
might accidentally kill themself by eating too many cinnamon rolls: The King, Rurime. He has... issues with impulse control...

Just updated my #LMS project thread with the current canon orientations of the characters. Don't be surprised if there are changes as I continue writing, though. Queen Yisa was originally conceived as cishet, but that has obviously changed.
And I should probably make a tag for this project since I have plans for it after LMS, so #Princessence is now a thing.
