Hello! Just wanted to stop by and congratulate you on completing the first week of the Great Tortoise Race! We have already crossed one-fourth of the way and I know you can make it to the end!
KaiaJersagaAw, thanks!! Hoping my reviews have been helpful to writers and teammates alike! 3 hours ago
For those of you who are not aware, I have a small fanclub on YWS (Purple Flame Fan Club in "Clubs" section) for my books Rehenowa and I Knew. Here you can find pictures that I took of places that inspired me, drawings of my characters, etc. Let me know what you think. @Rinisha@Rose@DreamyAlice@Broady771@AuthenticallyAngie
cookiesandcream123Woo!! Alr, I will read them when I get the chance! Jun 3, 2023
KaiaJersagaAwesome! You can also check out my club The Purple Flame Fanclub in the clubs section. I put a few drawings of my I Knew characters done by me and a friend of mine on the wall there if you wanna check that out. Jun 3, 2023
cookiesandcream123Ooo yes, I think I've found it! Btw, if you want, could you post the ages of the characters on there? I've been curious about that for a while, and I don't wanna risk jumping to weird conclusions again >_< Jun 5, 2023
KaiaJersaga@cookiesandcream123 Yeah. I can post that for yuh! And dont worry about the assumptions. It's all good. Jun 5, 2023

Dear Readers: I wish to inform you that I am writing this to disappoint you for the first (or fifth) time since the start of our journey through the "pages" of Rehenowa. It is not unusual for me to have a "middle" project between finishing one project and starting a new one. This project often does not work out and is rarely ever completed.
I believe Rehenowa is serving as such a "middle" project. While I find the plot and a select few of the characters interesting (mainly Ramien), I fail to bond with the characters in a way that makes it worth my effort to write them, not particularly surprising if you take into account the uncomfortably large age gap between those characters and myself.
I maaaaaayyyyyy still continue Rehenowa, but at present, I am giving it a break as I search for inspiration and a new set of characters to mirror more closely my undying favorites of my novel, I Knew.
To that end, I would like to thank you all very much for your inspiring words and comments. A special thanks to Rose and Rinisha who (as far as I can tell) read every chapter I posted here and wrote me very memorable comments (that often made me laugh). You are both awesome.
As for my characters of Rehenowa...farewell for now! -Kaia Jersaga P.S. If you are interested, the first fifteen chapters of I Knew are posted on this website and a large portion of them are still in the green room if you're looking to earn your review team some points. @Rinisha@Rose@VengefulReaper@MercedesBlue
But I can hunderstand. So, take your time. Farewell Ramien and Rehenowa! (*sniff sniff)
~Rinisha
PS: Does that mean you can tell us what Rehenowa means? Jun 3, 2023
KaiaJersaga@Rinisha I just didn't have the inspiration. I still don't. I know it's kinda sad, but right now things are just getting too difficult to keep writing...
It was in one of the last chapters I posted! Rehenowa means fire-cursed. Jun 3, 2023
KaiaJersaga@Rinisha Thanks for understanding, though. I appreciate it. This wasn't an easy decision... Jun 3, 2023
Rinishaohh ty for the explanation.
Take your time then! Ill be waiting.
~ Rinisha Jun 3, 2023
RoseIn a world of sorrow, the weird person on the hill, where the thunder keeps playing different melodies and the lightning dances around the huge mansion, found herself drowning in a sea of tears in her huge haunted garden with the imprisoned roses. Sadness enveloped her like a clinging, unwanted companion...
(blows nose into some random tissue) It is extremely sad that won't be hearing from clumsy 'Jai' and knight-in-shining-hoodie Ramien with trus-tissues anymore, but I completely understand. Because only with the inspiration to write it, Rehenowa can become a successful novel. So I guess, it's the same old saying again, "Write/Read Rehenowa, not rushed " And I'll have to keep the bombs in my creepy attic for a while and definitely shouldn't feel rushed to make more or use them ...
All the best Kaia! Jun 3, 2023
KaiaJersaga@Rose@Rinisha I may still write Rehenowa...I got some inspiration to change it up drastically to improve my interest in it. The characters will probably be pretty different, but there will still be the same kinds of themes. So, I'm not quite ready to throw it out entirely, I just need to change it up and rewrite it with a different setting, I think. But, again, don't get your hopes up too high. This is my first seriousish (Totally a Jaith word) attempt at writing a little fantasy, so I don't know how it will go. I just didn't want you thinking that I might finish it when I'm sorta doubting it right now.
But the latest as it stands is that I think I'm gonna do a rewrite with differently aged characters and setting. If I like it, I'll post it and tag you. Sound good? Jun 3, 2023
RoseIf there is still a little amount of hope left somewhere, and my bombs could still be useful, then of course, don't forget to tag me Jun 3, 2023
RinishaMe2! & Piley & Spidey! Jun 3, 2023
KaiaJersagaOkay! You both are such an encouragement. Have a great weekend!! Jun 3, 2023
MercedesBlueHeya! Sometimes we just need to step back from a book we are working on and then come back to it if we still want to pursue it. But even if you aren't going to finish the book that's completely fine. Thank you for sharing Rehenowa with us! -Mercedes Jun 4, 2023
KaiaJersaga@MercedesBlue Aw. Thanks for your encouraging words!!
@Rinisha@Rose (And MercedesBlue) I went back to Chapter 3 and did some serious editing. I think this is a good sign. I'm changing Jaith a bit. Just making him more empathetic and putting in a lot more of his thoughts and opinions with the hope that I'll get more interested in his character. Um...actually scratch that. I AM already more interested in his character. Currently, Rehenowa is under serious construction, but for now, things are looking pretty bright. A little touchup of those chapters is really helping. Although, I'm still stuck on tryna figure out a better way of introducing Rushita. I kinda want to give the reader a tour of the utter nightmare the Esadowa brothers are living in, and I'm not quite sure how I'm gonna do that...yet. But a little challenge on the part of the writer to try to figure out how things are gonna work out is never a bad thing. Jun 4, 2023

I hope you are enjoying your time on YWS, you are doing an amazing job with all the reviews! One thing I suggest is when you want to comment on some specific parts of the literary work you can quote it. By pasting it with the quoting tags like this- [quote*] once upon a time...[/quote*] without the asterisk of course
It would look something like this
once upon a time..
The Big Book of YWS Codes is a wonderful place from where youcan learn all th codes available on yws, you write such great reviews, it will help you make your reviews look more precise and organized. I will be happy to help however I can:)
-Alice^-^
KaiaJersagaI am already using the quoting method. Rinisha showed me how to do that. It definitely helps to keep things more organized. And YES!! THE link to the YWS codes!! I've been looking for that! Thanks so much! I'll let you know if I need more help. Thanks so much for helping out! Jun 2, 2023
Question for anyone who knows the answer...How do you post images in the forums or clubs? There's no place to upload photos as far as I'm seeing except on the wall.
DreamyAlicei guess there are options for uploading the images from your device in the forum threads and clubs area or else what you can do is copy the image URL and paste it with the [img*][/img] tags(without the asterisk), that's what most people do around here. I hope it helped Jun 2, 2023
Hi, readers! I just wanted to let you know that I'm going to rework Rehenowa Chapter 8 (the scene when Rushita first shows up), so Chapters 8-10 may end up outdated. I will let you know about further updates as I make them. @Rose@Rinisha@MercedesBlue
RinishaOkay. Take your time. Btw congrats on winning this Review day!
~ Rinisha May 30, 2023
KaiaJersaga@Rinisha Thanks! I did 5 reviews, WAY more than I usually do, but I had the time, so why not? Plus, now I got extra points so I won't have to scramble for points when I next have something to publish here. May 30, 2023
2. THE chapter @Rinisha and @Rose have been waiting for is out. I combined two chapters because one of them was so short so CHAPTER 9 is the latest. Rehenowa Chapter 9 Check it out when you get a chance.
I will continue to edit as I write, so there will still be details I will need to add on occasion. I will continue to post those updates on my wall as I have been doing.
VengefulReaperI do plan on getting back into this novel. I've just been super stressed with exams and uni (pain... only pain...). I should be around to review your novel in another two weeks or so!
-Reaper May 27, 2023
KaiaJersaga@VengefulReaper No problem. I totally understand the stress! Wishing you good grades on your exams and a restful break from them afterward! May 27, 2023
So far so good on the editing. New *cute* scene from Chapter 6:
Jaith smiled in response. “Nice to meet you,” he responded. Using Jaith’s arm as a support, Miki slid off the sofa. Jaith glanced down at his own jeans on the boy, swallowing the twelve-year-old’s skinny legs and completely hiding his feet. Forcing a useless grin, Jaith leaned down and rolled up the ends of the boy’s jeans to just above his ankles. He stepped back, glancing down at the single black thread enclosing Miki’s left ankle. Two little baby feathers hung from it. Jaith took Miki’s arm. “That should make it a bit easier to walk, huh?” Miki lifted his chin slightly and let Jaith lead him into the kitchen. @Rinisha@Rose
