Necromancer14 I get around it by doing the whole doctor who thing and calling the magic "science." It works quite well, as long as you can think of some sort of "scientific" explanation.

tfw you put up with so much trash in the book you're reading thinking that it can only get better and it still lets you down with the worst ending ever that escapes all logic and character consistency and the main character actually regresses from where she started in chapter one AND THE AUTHOR INSISTS A SEQUEL WILL MAKE THE FIRST BOOK BETTER AND IT JUST MAKES YOU WANNA THROW YOUR KINDLE AT A BRICK WALL
