How do I decide my characters? *thinks*

Well, normally my characters are something I decide along with the plot. When I am thinking of the story, their rough sketch is already formed in my mind and when I sit down to write the intricate details of my characters are formed. To be honest, I am not much of a planner and that's why my characters aren't great.

That is why I am planning them out now because I want them to be distinct. If not distinct, at least they should have their own aura and personality.

I like your idea. Even I had been thinking these days to put something of my personality into my characters. That way things would seem much more easier for me to write since I could relate with them.

I actually like Natasha the best. She's different and her stubbornness is really amazing. Plus, she's got a strong voice.

And by the way, I'm nearly finished the poem ._.

How can you like dictators? Guaranteed the progress of a country with dictatorial set up is high, but then it doesn't guarantee that all the people are happy with it.

Besides, I just hate the idea of people not having any control over themselves, and being ruled by a person who considers himself God. I so hate it. <_>

You must try character questionnaires. Skinsy suggested me that idea, and I have really found it helpful. Yes, it happens sometimes that even we don't know our characters. That is why I couldn't write my novel. I didn't understand where to start from and how to show them.

I agree. I haven't read much yet to draw any conclusion. I guess I'll have to wait for Elise's character to unfold itself. But you know, I'm liking the idea of your novel. I've read some alien fiction literature, but yours is the most unique. So best of luck with it.

GRAMMAR IS INDEED THE SPAWN OF SATAN! BUT WE NEED IT. xD!

I guess your history teacher is right. But dictators are so old fashion now. Being a corrupt leader is more in fashion.

It's better to read about a history which isn't so rich than reading about an old civilization. Like, we had so much of Indian history. Right from medieval to freedom struggle that I was totally bored.

lol, don't worry. We all wish we could slap and punch our stories right on their faces. But the sad thing is we can't. ^_^

Tenses are a bit of your problem area, so you could try working harder on them. Believe me, every writer's got one thing which they wish they could throw out of the window.

Elise is actually a bit vague right now? I know she's different than the siblings, is smart but not much. What I'd suggest you to do is to fill out some character questionnaires for her so you yourself can understand her much better.

Pssht, you would learn the grammar soon. It's not tough, and you're almost there. Besides, the more you'll write, the better you'll get at it. If you need any help, you know where to find me. Right? :)

Ah, go review, Ikerot! I am turning into this big lazy bones, seriously. I have to review three more pieces but I am so distracted by my own novel that when I go and try doing them, I can't concentrate. xD!

Yeah, America with all the best stores and shopping prices (Canada and its overly high taxes and barren malls...) I get to go to Seattle sometimes, but other than that, never been. Well, New York once like a few years ago XD

And I actually legit didn't know who Chi was XD Just found it on google and was like, aw, cute. Never mind that though, I changed it back to Tamaki and his puppy dog eyes :3

I think US history is interesting. It helps us understand all about the current political scenario. But yes, the history of the place where a person lives is so regular in their lives that studying it separately makes it mundane.

That's why I love World History. It covers up hell lot of different topics. If it was really profitable, I'd have majored in History. I really love it. <3 <3
