Just about to crash, but I went through my daily dribble word counts since August 10th (since I made the decision to try for 1k a day and keep track of what I'm writing, in the hopes that it'd help my motivation). I decided to count anything that's towards a writing project OR that is prose: so, novel planning/plotting or any prose, whether that's on roleplays, cooperative writing projects, or my own manuscript/creative dribblings.
My rough word count for August (I started a bit late) is 50.7k words, which I'm satisfied with! My record high was 7,371 words in a day, and the same week I hit 28.8k--and then never got to even half of that for the rest of the month, haha!
My goal for September is to just keep it up and not drop below 1k a day. Over the holidays, I may try to up my ante, but for now, I just want to make sure it's sustainable with school. Once I've got some solid time, though, I intend to break that 28.8k/week record. . . ( :<
I've also decided to dub this #DailyDribbles ! I thought about counting it under #20in20 , but since it's word-based and not time-based, I thought I'd ping it into its own thing~

Holysocks It's just a tag where people write for 20 minutes a day in 2020! Maybe not every day, but I think the point is to get you writing.

Me? Publishing something? It's more likely than you think.
I've set myself a daily goal of 1k words; doesn't have to be on my manuscript, it could be anything. I'm on day 16 and some of my collaborative projects have died out and gone quiet, which left me with nothing to work on. The same thing happened last night. Yesterday, I plotted out the first act of my novel; tonight, I begin it again, for THE FINAL TIME I SWEAR and this time I have it PLANNED so it will not die two chapters in. Swearsies~ I'm opening with Cornchex this time, and the first chapter will be from his POV, but after that, get ready for some German action~
I was jamming to these tunes, 10/10 do recommend for writing...

Featherstone I hope to get another half up today/tomorrow, so by then you should have something to work with! I think I'll be posting in 1k-ish word increments, just to keep it from getting too obscenely long, although I'll have to kick up my reviewing game.

Magebird wrote:The Roleplay Realm has been looking a little bare these past few days and I have a lot of points I don't need, so I'm issuing an unofficial challenge!
If you post a roleplay in the Roleplay Realm, I'll give you 200 points! That's enough to publish a work through the Publishing Center. I'll only be doing it for the first ten roleplays that are made, though, so you'll want to make those roleplays as soon as you can.
Once you make the roleplay, let me know! You can reply to this wall post or send me a PM with the link. You can also claim the 200 points multiple times if you make several roleplays, so good luck!

"He looked at himself and all he saw was a colander in a world of bowls."
It's the best metaphor I've come up with all week and I wanted to share, that's all.
