almost got ready to nicely bug the mods about archiving the april camp nano threads so I can post my july camp nano thread before remembering hun it's not even june calm it down 💜

relaxed too hard on my anniversary trip with husband + the long holiday weekend we returned to and now i have to return to work tomorrow and help what is my job again??

...lol I was due for another figure skating injury

other than the occasional bruise from a fall, I haven't actually hurt myself since my year 1 of adult skating fall when I couldn't fully straighten my dominant arm for like three weeks 🙃

managed to give myself minor whiplash yesterday while I was warming up and not even doing anything difficult. Genuinely don't even know how it happened, but I sort of belly flopped on the ice (knees took the impact, didn't hit my head). Didn't hurt at all at the time (#pads). Today my 30-year-old geriatric body is in PAIN lol.

my chiropractor was able to see me this morning and that helped a lot!! Now it's just my neck/upper shoulder muscles that hurt so a deep tissue massage is next on my list! (conveniently already have an appointment scheduled for next week, but I'm hoping I'll be able to get in sooner) It's honestly not even that bad, I just don't have full range of motion in my neck.

husband said: "glad you're okay. this is why I will NEVER go ice skating" 😂😂

I won't be doing Camp NaNo this time because bunny rom com is finally off to betas and I'm taking a proper break before I dive into my next 2023 project!!

BUT I still want to cheer all you Campers on, so tell us about your project if you haven't done so already!! I'm planning on joining the July Camp and you know I'm always there for regular NaNo <3

I have finally written the bunny rom com epilogue and I will be finishing revisions this weekend for real because I'm ready to read the whole book start to finish and give it to betas and move on <3

Another city in my state has acted out part of the plot of bunny rom com!! If this isn’t a sign to stop procrastinating and finish my revisions, I don’t know what is!

my revision process for bunny rom com right now involves adding in a bunch of words because every scene in the second half is riddled with [stuff I was too lazy to add in while writing] and needs a lot more oomph in general. I have a target of how many words I'm hoping to add for each scene so the book will reach my targeted word count.

Sometimes it's an hours-long marathon to get through a scene/chapter. When I finish a scene, I take a break and then listen to it with a program that reads it to me to catch little typos and make sure I like what I did.

I get to the end of those listens like YES I LOVE THIS BOOK.
and then it's instant dread looking at the next chapter like I have to do this all over again *cry*

but the end product is that I have so many favorite scenes and chapters and I know it's going to be worth it at the end!! <3

even though I still need to write a whole epilogue

every song on paramore's new album has been taking turns being stuck in my head pretty much constantly and I'm not even mad about it because the album is a 10/10.

cannot overstate how much I've entertained myself while working on bunny rom com. I don't know if anyone other than me will find this book funny, but I know *I'm* having a good time!

the first half is buffed and polished!

pray for me as I try to clean up the second half that I fear is littered with [things I need to add] and just general mess the closer I get to the end because I got tired of writing
i also need to add a bunch of words and write the epilogue still

also might rewatch new girl for the 100000000th time as a reward after the bunnies go to the next round of betas.

crying at how many [things I put in brackets to add later because was too lazy to include and now have to care about] I have to clean up at this stage of bunny rom com revisions.

might rewatch all 15 seasons of ER again as a reward when I send this off for the next round of betas.

I never imagined the phrase "human sacrifice" would come up in my light, cute, happy book but that's where we're at tonight with bunny rom com revisions ✌🏻
