Suspiciously normal human activities

  • I found a giant plastic diamond abandoned at school today and I took it home because a few days after I was born I was forced into a gene-splicing expirement and my DNA was combined with a magpie's so whenever I see a large shiny object it fills me with giddy magpie joy and I take it home to add to my ever-growing horde of random treasures and trinkets.

  • WeepingWisteria What’s ailing you?
    Feb 23, 2024

Ari11 Nothing is cool or detailed enough it seems. I'm trying to start a story that appears normal at first, with a character working in a coffee shop, but I am distinctly inexperienced in that area and everything I write feels weird.

  • I have two types of friends; the ones that get straight As and the ones that puncture DayQuil capsules and suck the medicine out like its an Otter Pop.

  • I saw a bald guy in a neon orange shirt with ‘Mosquito Meander’ on it sprinting down the street today.

WeepingWisteria Hmmm. Doesn't seem very meander of him.

Ari11 I think the mosquitoes were meandering on him.

    RECORD BREAKING ATTEMPT

I hope everyone enjoyed #UnSoMo now as the official social fortnight or #SocialMonth2024 has started. Here is one more exciting thing for you all. This social month we planned to break a YWS record! All the past YWS records and record holders are mentioned in the The YWS Big Book of Records, but there are collective records as well like the last Great Tortoise Race of 2023 we broke the last Most Users to Complete Team Tortoise in one Month record with 9 members making through the month.

This social month on YWS we are trying to break the record of Most people in a writing pad at once. It would be a pretty cool record to set. The last one would probably have been for YWS's 16th birthday with around 32 people. We are trying to surpass that goal and yeah that's crazy, chaotic, and of course AMAZING!

We got this! Do not forget your fruit juices, everyone. Mr.Pineapple invites you to the GREAT PINEAPPLE PARTY hosted by me and @OrabellaAvenue!
    The date and timing is
(There is a code applied that changes the time to the reader's time zone so it will be different for everyone according to where they live)

  • Spent my sixth period writing and eating banana taffy in the courtyard. Today is a good day.

  • Thinking about how in fifth grade one of my classmates couldn't come to school for a while, so my teacher thought it would be a good idea to send her a video of us wishing her well and dancing. I tried to do the worm, but I couldn't figure out how to do it properly and I was out of frame so she just got a video of my flailing limbs in the bottom corner...

  • I just re-read an old draft of a story I never finished. I think I wrote it when I was twelve, and it shows, but it was honestly not too bad. The pacing was certainly off, but it had a sort of genuine charm to the character writing that I feel like my later works have been lacking. I might try to re-work this story; it certainly has potential.

  • When you’re writing a story and realize it would be perfect for an RP…
