Exciting! I'd like to list five reasons for anyone to be happy.

1. If you're reading this, you can read! Amazing! You're so lucky to be educated and get to read and write! Also, you probably have indoor plumbing and running water and heat and refrigeration and medicine and emergency services and freaking internet access. Do you know how crazy fictional and magic the internet must have seemed not half a century ago? As far as history goes, you're living in a sweet spot.

2. Child mortality rates and global poverty levels have fallen dramatically over the last decade. (Both have been upwards of halved.) Despite all our mistakes and missteps, blunders and bang-ups, wars and worries, the world *is* becoming a better place.

3. Rainbows can be created by moonlight. They're called moonbows.
