Well I finally wrote that "Grand Canyon across my forehead" poem, and once again, I feel like I've failed to do it justice, but it's fine.

LMS VI: a billion seconds gone, but where?

Just wanted to say it makes me so happy getting the YWS account updated emails again! Even though I check in almost every day anyway despite being less active than I used to be.

Happy Cake Day, niteowl! You've been part of the site since the very beginning which is pretty awesome, and have definitely made your mark! Always happy to see your poetry around the site and glad you are a part of YWS.

Legit forgot I hadn’t written something for lms yet…I’ve had a lot of half-baked ideas this week but I haven’t managed my time well enough to write them down. Anyway I did it with 10 minutes to spare LMS VI: a billion seconds gone, but where?

Did it in 5, sorely tempted to edit Wikipedia to get two articles to link like they should to make it 4. Will post in comments.

Time to #addatopping ! I've whipped up a good Old-Fashioned Home-Typed Gift for y'all. Ancient #FunYWSFact , I once made it my mission to welcome every single new member of the site (or at least those who posted in the welcome forum)-part of this was the "gift" of all the active emoticons on YWS at the time. For some reason, the elephant isn't on the "emoticons" list in the forums, so I added a couple



As for what I love about YWS, besides the absolutely amazing community, I'll have to note the Quote Generator and how it ranges from deep and profound quotes to absolute nonsense (literally the current quote in this screen: we went from advice to meth real quick-— ShadowVyper (now @Shady). Would also like to shout out the Name Generator which has actually helped me name my characters several times and the Poetic Line Generator which I lean on during NaPo.

But honestly, love everyone here, from the active mods who put so much work into running events and keeping the community alive to the newer members bringing in the energy that teenage-me had back when I sent all those "gifts". I hope to be here to celebrate many more YWS birthdays with y'all. <3

Er...so I may or may not have taken the day off work under the guise of plans for a friend's birthday to get on the Taylor Swift ticket presale. I got a presale code for one of my backup cities, but I had to wait for six hours. Upside of going by myself-I was able to pick out one seat in the lower bowl section I wanted and check out like a ninja for honestly not much more than I expected/hoped to pay in the first place. Now I'm reading horror stories of people getting logged out and stuff and I feel super lucky. I would say God has smiled upon me, but I still had to wait and such, so maybe it's more like a smirk haha.

Side Note: went to look up the #1 song on its birthday and I am having a "holy crap I'm old" moment because the song is "My Boo" by Usher and Alecia Keys which doesn't feel that old to me? I distinctly remember hearing it a lot on the radio when I lived in Atlanta from 2012-2016. Maybe some DJ there really liked it and played it a lot? Or maybe I'm confusing it with some other song?
