The Royal Palace

Arthur and the boy studied there surroundings, hidden by the darkness as they kneeled behind a bush. The palace. It was heavily guarded with guards that patrolled every corner of every hour of the day. Archers were perched all around the stony Palace walls. There watchful eyes scanning the area for thieves, such as Arthur and the secretive boy. Although there hadn’t been a break in, in years, the emperor was never too careful. Once again luck was on the boys’ side, as the Ghost sphere hung in the starry night sky, showing the way. Finally Arthur popped the question that would be essential for the remaining part of the mission. He didn’t know what the boy’s business here was, all he knew was that he would be greatly rewarded. His family meant the world to him, and to miss an opportunity like this he would be mad.

“What’s your name” asked Arthur.

“Um… err… what” replied the shocked teen. Who seemed to be puzzled be this sudden remark, after hours of silence?

“I said, what is your name. You know what people call you. Ring a bell.”-Replied an impatient Arthur.

“Rex”.

The annoying tapping sound of belting rain heavily fell upon the palace roofs. A chubby guard was too busy downing a rather large bottle of ale too notice the two boys creeping down the near corridor.

“I’ll be back in a sec.”
whispered rex, as he tiptoed towards the drunken guard. He swiftly removed the bottle from the guard’s grubby hands and whacked him over the head with it- there was a loud thud as the guard fell in a heap onto the crimson carpet. Rex returned to Arthur chuckling as he went-making a little too much noise to the liking of Arthur.

“What did you do that for, you stupid prat, someone no doubt heard that.”

“Chill” cockily replied Rex.

“That’s easy for you to see when you can become the wind.” Scowled Arthur.

“Ok, now your starting to piss me off, so shut up and get on with the task.” Spat Rex.

Arthur began to argue but reconsidered when rex towered over him- He was stronger, taller, and older than Arthur, ( a four year difference) Rex lead the way for about half an hour before he came to a sudden halt in the narrow corridor. He pressed his ear against the wall, and waited silently. He then began to feel the wall, and smiled when he found an odd block-different form the rest. He gently pushed. The block sank inwards and resulted in a clicking noise, which then triggered something. The bricks began to widen and soon revealed a passageway.

Rex stepped through the passage way, with a reluctant Arthur following at his feet. The passageway was had lots of twists and turns but eventually the dull scenery, soon lead to something much more fun and interesting. Arthur’s eyes suddenly lit up as he exited the passage. The room that he now found himself standing in was incredibly spacious and smothered in colourful décor-With bright red carpet, and golden treasure scattered about waiting to be stolen. Arthur went to pick up an expensive looking amulet but Rex positioned himself between the amulet and Arthur, raising his hand to push him back.

“Hey what you doing, you said could walk away with treasure.” demanded Arthur.

“Oh but there are far greater good’s that lay about in this paradise.” smirked Rex. As he wondered off into another room- and a fantastic one at that. Arthur gasped in astonishment as he followed Rex into the circular room. Rex knelt down beside a small draw and opened it. Inside he found what he was looking for, (a small scroll of foreign writing which Arthur struggled to read.)
Rex placed inside his pocket, and pressed his foot down upon a wooden floor board. At once and alarm rang, and guard’s began to shout with fear in there voice as they raced towards the secret passageway.

“What the hell. What was i needed for then.” Screamed Arthur

“Well someone has to take the blame “laughed rex, and with that he vanished into thin air, living a chilly wind behind.

this was good, i really liked it! but unforuently there was a few grammar mistakes and there was something i noteiced...

Arthur began to argue but reconsidered when rex towered over him- He was stronger, taller, and older than Arthur, ( a four year difference)

ditch the (afour years difference) and change that comma to a full stop, if u want to keep it at least put a full stop before Rex (next line)
