• Me super late with one last NaNo tag haha

#FavSideCharacter

Ally is her name and dealing with her is a game. Literally. She loves games and will do just about everything she can to have a good time with you. Even if it means hiding animals in your room... I mean, what?

Snoink Omg, we're twinning! I have a mischievous character named Ally too! :)

• Last day of #CampNaNo , so here's the last answer to the #NanoTags ! This time... #VillainVibes .

#VillainVibes
Villains can have so much variety, from focused villains bent on revenge to slightly insane ones causing mischief for fun. If your novel has a villain, what are they like? Share a quote, description, or some notes showing the vibe of your villain.

Mwhahahahahha.

There are... actually a lot of villains in this story, lol. Cyrus has a villainous streak that occasionally shows up... he is the anti-hero, after all. Then there are other villains.

But for the last chapter??? It's all about this villain:

“And now it’s over, and, this time, you’ve lost for good! Did you really think you could win against me? You said that you would never let me destroy your family. But look at them now!

• More #NanoTags for #CampNaNo ??? It's #SettingSnippet time!

#SettingSnippet
Where does your story take place? A planet? A town? A void? Share a bit about your setting. Feel free to share your notes about the setting or a description pulled right from your novel!

UH. This particular chapter is set at the Lake of Memories. Fun facts about the Lake of Memories??

Spoiler! :
- The Lake of Memories is surrounded by an almost impenetrable crystal wall. The only way to get through are these tunnels that are almost impossible to get through. (Almost!)

- If you touch the water, you'll either die (best case scenario) or get sucked into the depths for eternity.

- But, if you scoop out the water, it can heal pretty much everything??? (This is contradictory, haha.) You don't even need a lot! It can save even someone doomed to die.

- The crystal walls stand up straight, but there are surrounded by these hills made out of these slippery, red, jagged rocks. They are nasty and can cut you up badly if you fall on them.

- There is no vegetation here. The whole thing looks curiously barren. Just lake, great crystal walls, rock, and sky.

• Heyo! On my way to join the #NaNoTags ! And maybe I'm coming to party a bit late, *ehm, ehm*, but still... what's the party without Kay joining? I will mostly talk about The Clockwheel Cities since it's my main WIP and I'm in #CampNaNo with it. Let's go!!!!

#OneSentence

Dude, this one is pretty hard to be honest. Probably: A young mechanic with a thirst for adventure sets off on a puzzle hunt across Europe with her best friend.

#FavSideCharacter

Oh, c'mon. Alexej is drama queen, king of humor, troublemaker and...nope. That's spoiler. But seriously. I like the character Alexei is. Although he is extremely light-headed and occasionally does some crazy things, his heart is in the right place and he always stands by his best friend.

#FirstLine

Paris was the city in which it lived.

#NovelSoundtrack

I already have Spotify playlist for this story! If you want link, feel free to PM me :). Some song who are in "official playlist" are:
- Unsquare Dance by The Dave Brubeck Quartet
- Traditionnel musette by Orchestre Maurice Larcange
- Drunk Sailor (traditional British song)
- and some others

#BestDialogue

Let's be honest – Deinne and Alexej have a dynamic based on quick and often sarcastic banter and jokes. If I had to pick my favorite, it would take me three weeks...but I'm pretty sure it's one of the ones in chapter three. I won't spoil any more. Yet.

#SpoilerAlert Clockwheel Cities Series

Spoiler! :
Deinne has an extremely bad relationship with her family, especially her older brothers. That is why she is not very pleased when she has to work with her eldest brother at one point during her clue-hunt through Europe.

EllieMae You might have to add a space before those tags if they are the first word on a line to make them work (YWS gets grumpy like that for some reason XD)! Also, these all look so interesting and I would love to see your Spotify playlist!!
Jul 23, 2024

AnotherCrowInRow @EllieMae thanks! I will try that trick with space before tags, thanks for advice! And I can send you playlist link if you want :)

We're back with another set of NaNoTags! Last week's #FirstLine and #NovelSoundtrack had catchy opening lines and great soundtracks! If you missed any of the tags before, head over to the trusty NaNoTags thread and catch up on the buzz. And this week's hashtags are...

Coming up with dialogue is an art, whether it's something moving, suspenseful or ridiculously hilarious. Share one (or more) of your favourite dialogues or quotes from your novel.

This one's for the jaw-droppers, the twists, the unexpected turns - big or small. Share a plot twist in your novel and be sure to wrap it in a spoiler code. You can also include the title of your novel above the spoiler. See the code below for an example.
Code: Select all
#SpoilerAlert (Title of your novel)
insert twist here
Bonus Hashtag!
Because all's fair in writing and memes, share some memes about the writing process, NaNoWriMo, characters, writers themselves, or anything else related to writing. Tag it all with #NaNoMemes

Good luck with your projects and have fun with the NaNoTags! :D

“How are you alive?”

Detective Gonzales
Suddenly, the alarm went off, "beep...Beep!...BEEP!...BEEP!!!!"

The Exchange Student
Dear Mia,
Before I knew it, I was on a plane to the USA.

• Okay, Book 4 is essentially an entire #BigMisunderstanding , however!

The biggest misunderstanding is the prophecy... there is an expectation of how the prophecy should turn out, but the actual way the prophecy turns out is unexpected. XD

But like, the second big misunderstanding is the love triange of sorts, which might possibly be the most awkward thing ever. XD
