I joined this site over 10 years ago hoping for a place to post my writing (which at the time of course I thought was wonderful, but now can't bear to reread). I thought maybe I'd get a comment or two and it would spur me on to writing further chapters but boy, I got so much more.
This little community in our shared corner of the internet means so much to me and I've made some wonderful friends in my time here.

Alright... so... all about me...
Well, I guess the first thing you need to know is that I like order and organization which you can definitely see if you look at my room right now... not.
Okay, seriously though, if someone says "order" around me, I'm gonna be asking for food.
I am maybe possibly kind of a writer-poet-RPer, though to be totally honest, I've not done a lot of writing or poeting recently, so that statement may not entirely be true. Then again, I just wrote a poem about my current inability to write, so I guess that counts for something?? I'm not sure what the rules are here ;-;
When I'm not on YWS, I'm usually on NationStates as an RPer or pretending to be an evil kitty dictator-- talk to @starlitmind for details on that, she's trying to figure out what evil kitty dictators do and could use the help XD

There are gifts that we are each given, literally and figuratively, and I believe that all gifts can be taken away. As writers, it is our duty-- yours and mine and everyone's-- to write. Sometimes we'll write things that make us smile. Sometimes, we'll simply break down crying. But we need that spark of inspiration and hope that helps us through it all. Protect that spark no matter what. A writer without a spark is like a skillet without a handle or a sword without a hilt. Keep that spark safe. And if you can't... pray that you'll find it again.

Did a lot change in just a short amount of time. I am an advocate for walkable, livable cities, where bikes and walking are not considered nuisances. I would like to reduce car dependency in my city so that more freedom be given to the public.

I can be seen occasionally lurking on pads or in a couple clubs, I'm not very active nowadays but I still love the site! A little bit about me: I adore the color blue, have a slight obsession with Harry Potter and the Romanovs, am a hopeless romantic, and hate whipped cream with a passion. <3

Hi guys! I go by @trashykawa on the site.
(Until recently, I used to be hiraeth; ShapeOfVoid)
Things about me:
I'm left handed (maybe more accurately mixed handed, but i attribute that to years of being taught to eat with my right hand, hold the bat with my right, etc etc)
I have a twin (we don't look identical, and our personalities are completely different)(although we do always seem to know what the other is thinking)(sometimes we say the same thing at the same time in the same way and that is a very twin-ish thing to do, but I swear we're as different as night and day.)
(lets skip the part where i say i love reading because literally everyone here does )
My current top songs include anything by Novo Amor, Lewis Capaldi, James Arthur, Folklore (sorry, that's an album), illenium.

Heyy...Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night, (whichever one its when you're reading this), you have stumbled the profile of The Princess of Darkness...which is the fancy title I occasionally use but...uhh y'all can just call me Kate.
So about me...well I've haunted this site for just a bit over two years now...look at me adding time into this so I have to actually update this someday. Anyway, I'm usually found spamming the people's tab with reviews here and there when I find free time, or just generally chilling somewhere in the roleplay section. I am far too many roleplays for it to be healthy for a human. Don't try this at home mortals
I do write, novels mostly, or the occasionally crazy story when I'm attempting to break through writer's block the curse that affects even us immortals. If you're really, really lucky, you might spot a poem by me....but those happen once every sixty million years so...don't hold your breath.
As for me irl, I am a nerd, certified super nerd, I should put that as my occupation, but I don't cause the current one sounds far cooler, and I lead a proper nerd squad. This is why sometimes in my reviews you might see random references to chemistry, or maths...or physics....just be careful...you do not know what you might find.
I'm someone that sort of lives life being partially invisible to most people around me, not many people even in my own school know of my existence cause of that. But when I do make friends, I tend to be loyal, to the point I think it might be an actual fatal flaw...xD
And yeah, maybe that sums me or, or I'm just getting lazy of explaining myself, I dunno, take your pick...but at any rate, have yourself a very nice day, if it hasn't been a good one, I hope it gets better, if has been a good one, then well, still, make it better. I'll stop rambling now and I'll see you around the site somewhere...probably in a review...cause I have a problem...Byee<33

Hi, I'm Hijinks! I'm a retired global moderator (hence the orange name). I'm not as active on the site as I used to be, but if you catch me while I'm online I'm always down to talk about poetry.
If you're looking for a crash course in getting to know me, I'll start you off with a list of some of my most defining character traits. In no particular order: music theory nerd, theatre kid, absurdly indecisive, big introvert, lover of the lowercase aesthetic, fan of semicolons, and apparently "quite Canadian". Other than that, feel free to get other people to dish the dirt on me if you like, or shoot me a PM/wall post. :)

I'm soft-retiring from YWS. I'll update this later and say other stuff, but uh... yeah, I'm basically leaving the site for the most part. I might pop on occasionally to check up when I'm feeling nostalgic, but for the most part I'm gone. I just didn't want to make a splash by posting this on my wall, so if you're ever wondering what happened to me.... this is it. I play several instruments, and I like videogames. (Mostly clash of clans) I also like writing, in case you didn't know. I also like reading, probably even more than writing.
