Wellbeing & Mindfulness

Are you a mess inside? Many people seem to be nowadays, and often it's only made worse by ignoring the whole subject. If we can't see our inner struggles then we can pretend they're not there – or that we never had an inside to begin with, so that we can keep being good little robots. c:

The only problem is that the mess doesn't go away that easy; it slips out in all sorts of ways and erodes us until suddenly we're planking in the middle of the floor in our sweatpants with swollen, tearstained eyes and an empty black hole of a chest.

By not self-reflecting you're basically asking for the anxiety harpies or depression demons to pounce on you. It happens – and for some people those are legit ongoing conditions. But don't cling to those gloomy states like an emotional masochist so that you can wallow in self-pity, if that's what you know you're doing. I mean, you /can/ do that, for as long as you fancy, actually, but it won't get you anywhere brighter.

It's your life, and your wellbeing affects you before anyone else. Don't wait for someone else to cure you of your problems, or for those problems to magically vanish. Inner wellbeing doesn't mean taking your medicine because someone told you to. It means claiming a better way of living with yourself /for yourself/ by finding pieces of advice and new perspectives that make you feel better day-by-day.

Being a mess it tiring, yo, so don't do that to yourself. If you're living, live with a little less internal suffering by looking at how you're doing and growing from there. <3

This club is a place to share and discuss wellbeing and mindfulness advice, as well as relatable images of how damned we all are.
