So it’s June 17 now, which means almost everyone in the Northern Hemisphere is out of school for the summer. So, how will you be spending these sunny days? Got a job? Camp? YWSing it up?

Biking and volunteering at the library and hopefully the animal shelter. A lot of reading, karate and band practice.

Hebrew. *Supposed* to, but that’ll probably change.

*sighs*
The UK doesn’t break up (up to year 11 anyway) until July
I’m looking forward to it!

I’m stuck ’til the 24th.
Anyways, I have a lot planned. The barn around six days a week, sometimes seven, from 7AM to around 6PM. Mixed Martial Arts around three-four times a week. A job at my uncle’s shop (two days a week, around three hours a day,) if he gets more business. Writing whenever possible. Critiquing whenever possible. Stalking YWSers. Doing tons of stuff with barn friends.
It will be a blast, but tiring. The barn includes three hours of cleaning the barn (with little kids,) teaching for at least two hours, cooking lunch and giving it to the kids, giving a lecture on something, bringing little kids swimming, then feeding. And riding after kids leave.
(I’m working at the camp for July. August is a lot more relaxed - just a bunch of riding/trail rides/beach with friends, then going more places with friends.)
I’m excited, but you’ll (most likely) only see me during the day once a week. I’ll hate leaving, but I’d rather go out with friends than come here, since I don’t really get to do that during the school year.
But I shall be active.

My last final exam is the 23rd!
YWSing it up, working (at a nursing home, lucky lucky me), and taking Driver’s Ed (after which I will hopefully get my license…watch out!)

Biking two miles a day in 115 (46 C) degree weather to attend summer college classes. xD
Oh the fun. But we got free ice cream today, since the summer 1 session is half over.
I’m also gonna get my permit this month! Which means the rest of my summer will be learning how to drive. ^_^
Spare time? YWS, of course.

YWSing it up, hashing through the second draft of my novel, working on a comic, getting my license and looking for colleges. Yippee! And hopefully getting a job…

All three, probably, plus lots of riding. It feels great that I’ve finished (just done my GCSEs) while everyone else still has nearly five weeks left! Lol at them!

My job at a grocery store, chilling with friends, preparing for college, and spending more time on YWS!

We got out on the 13th. We were supposed to get out on the 17th, but we didnt use two of our snow days, so they got rid of them.
I plan to hang out at home as much as possible, seing as summer jobs aren’t legal yet. I’m feeding a friend’s turtle, and probably going to the beach.
Oh, and read. I HAVE to read one book for school, but I wouldn’t be surprised if I ended up reading ten.

Ah…summer.
Going to Chicago for a few weeks with my boyfriend and then probably as much as reading as possible until junior year begins. And writing of course!!!!!
14 Snoink // Jun 18, 2008 at 5:32 pm
YWS, of course! And… moving. But YWS!

Reading, reading, reading… driver’s ed, and hopefully working. I still need to get a job.
I’m also getting a head start on next school year; I’m taking government, advanced math, and some Shakespeare.
And yes, I will definitely be YWSing it up:D

Well, so far I’ve nearly conquered a video game… (feels like a loser). I take piano every Tuesday, and have a piano recital this Saturday! Eeeh! Writing like a maniac (though I’ve come to a complete halt in Bitter Sweet…), catching up on all those books I’ve been wanting to read. My brother said he’d teach me guitar because that’s something I’ve always wanted to try, but so far, it’s not happening. I was also really hoping I could take French , but the only place in Albuquerque that teaches it only has private lessons for kids my age. And they cost a ton. And we can’t deal with that when we have my sister’s wedding and a baby due in October (on Halloween!), a car in repair, and so many other things. And that’s it, except hanging out with friends and stuff.

Dance. And as much YWS as possible (probably very little).
18 yoha_ahoy // Jun 21, 2008 at 3:20 pm
1. Working at my public library.
2. Going to my college mural painting class (i.e. painting a wall on scaffolding for hours on end in the noonday sun.)
3. New-fangled social life sorta scene… which involves late night RISK games and getting kicked out of playgrounds by cops.
Woot! I love summer.
