I got tired of reading “Five Tips That” and “Ten Tips This,” so I figured I would outdo them all and come up with not five, not ten, not fifty, but 101 Tips for Writers.

For your convenience, I have separated the 101 Tips for Writers into fifteen general topics: Set Up, Brainstorming, Pre-Writing, Beginning, While Writing, Descriptions, Characters, Dialogue, Grammar & Word Choice, Ending, Editing Process, The Review Process, The Post-Review Process, Beating Writer’s Block, and General Tips.

These tips come from my own experience with writing, which for the past few years has mostly involved office memorandum and essays for law school. So as you would expect, the tips really apply to a large range of disciplines from creative fiction to memos. Of course, it is all written with an audience of young writers ages 13 to 25 in mind.

By the way, this is only the prelude to a much bigger resource that Firestarter is working on now.
