On Sunday, which was Mother’s Day, I received an e-mail and a call (apparently they have no Mothers and don’t realize some people still go to Church) from my hosting provider (Lunarpages) that the Young Writers Society was straining system resources.  In fact, it was using six times the alloted maximum amount.

While I do find it odd they contacted me on a Sunday (hate to have their job), I do have to give Lunarpages props for moving the site onto a temporary server and for simply not deleting it, which is what many hosting providers are wont to do.  Plus, their customer service was excellent.

So now YWS is in the process of being moved to a virtual private server (VPS).  This should be done shortly after I finish this post.  In fact, the blog is already back, as well as some of the mini-sites associated with YWS for testing and staff purposes.

And after all is said and done, YWS should be running much faster!
