Sailing to Victory #1: Photos!
I took some basic photos of how the model has started out.
Half-painted deck. I’ve finished the decking, pretty much, but the cannons are unfinished.

The sprayed halves of the hull.

The decks and hull fitted together (not glued) just to see how it looks. The paperback book is there for size comparison. As you can see, it’s not that big.

Zoomed in half-painted deck.

The upper deck unpainted and the main deck half-painted as before together for comparison. I’m painting the main deck now, for anyone who can’t work it out, because once the ship is stuck together it would be impossible. It’s funny though, because you’ll hardly be able to see any of it. There’s the gaps on the upper deck, but that’s where the ship’s boats go.

Some other parts of the kit, just for interest/size/randomness.
There we go! I’m hoping to finish off the main deck sometime this week (got plenty of free time suddenly, hmm.) I’ll be posting regular updates!

That’s really cool. You’re making me what to go and build my own ship model. I think I’ll try to find a model of an Athenian Galley.

Hey, you’ve done a good job with getting a wooden effect.
