I started collecting detailed statistics for the Young Writers Society back in August 2006 by using Google analytics. It’s a great tool, and it’s given me a great idea of how people use the site.

Anyhow, here is a chart showing the number of visits to YWS from August 19 to April 14:

In August and September, the number of visits per day never exceeded 400. By November, that number was always above 400. December saw things take a bit of a dip, but they picked back up in January. By February, visits were always above 500 every day. March never dipped below 600, and April has so far seen only one day dip below 700 (to 699).

In all, there’s been a 100% increase in the number of visits per day since August. Meanwhile, the number of pageviews per visit has remained the same, and the length per visit has increased a bit.
