Circus Grave

by AkiraEliza

Bury me with a sweet cats kiss and a cup of Boston Tea

Cause everything I did was for her, not me

~

The sun rises without a blossom there

The birds call out like anyone would care

A sweet reminder of the memories buried down

A Circus Grave is fitting in this ghost town

Purple flowers frayed with blue

When I think of it, I know nothin' bout you

Boston Tea Party for a birthday date

You were never mine no need for the hate

~

Bury me with another flower, add it to the list

No need to remind me what I missed

Lay me in a Circus Grave; nail my casket

Couldn't even save her, don't have to ask it

Bury me with a sweet cats kiss and a cup of Boston Tea

Cause everything I did was for her, not me.

Bury me with Boston tea

~

A sweet, deep voice whispers in my ear

As if I'd let go of someone so dear

let that voice sing all damn day long

I know that it ain't where I belong

Stomach clenched, flowers in my hand

The memories, they always pile like sand

Whatever you do, don't drown my rose

Save her from the imprint, and let me drown alone

~

Eyes wide open, can't sleep at all

I only heard the crash and never saw the fall

Don't matter what I did, you were never mine

You act like you love me but you don't, so fine

I know you think of me when your head hits the bed

And that is why my stomach has stopped filling with dread

So just bury me in my Circus Grave with a cup of Boston tea

Your poem is deeply moving and filled with heartfelt emotions. The imagery you use, like the sweet cats kiss and the cup of Boston Tea, adds a touch of sweetness and nostalgia to the piece. It's clear that you poured your heart into these words, expressing the pain of unrequited love and the longing for someone who was never truly yours. The repetition of certain lines creates a sense of rhythm and emphasizes the emotions conveyed. Your poem captures the bittersweet essence of love and loss. Keep writing and expressing yourself through your beautiful words!
