Wohoo, ein list! Anyway, here is the list I made. Blood dripping over roses and other genital symbols, half naked men with sixpacks and women in flowing dresses or leather boots...

Anyway, here is the list I made. Now, I know the big names which immediately jump to mind: Anne Rice, Charlaine whatever /the southern vampire lady/, the Meyer woman, Patterson's Maximum Ride stuff... If you show me a book of this sort my eyelids become leaden instantly and as my chin hits my chest I fall into the restfull sleep of the deeply bored. But! Today I decided to check up, just for the fun of it, how many bestselling authors are there in these predonomantly clit-lit categories. Here is the list I made.

More than 150! Let me say that with words - over one hundred and fifty! Now, I probably misunderstood about some of them /couldn't bother to go really in depth/, and missed at least twenty other more deserving, but anyway - here is the list I made. Of course, a bestseller is an elastic concept covering sales from 30K to 300mil and beyond, and judging by the crappy covers and the porn star names /I'm certain I've seen at least one film with someone called Nina Bangs/ most are closer to the former than the latter, but anyway, without more ado - here is the list I made.

Keep it in mind dear vamp/paranormal/urban fantasy enthusiasts, when you plan to enter this swarm of genre comrades - aparently this phenomenon is like the pulp crime/detective waves of the 1930's - 1950's. Zillions of author parasites and a few titans carrying the full weight of /in this case/ providing sublimated S/M fantasies for horny teens, horny office plankton, and horny grannies in denial. Anyway, here is the list I made.

/When I think about the classical sublimated S/M vintage pulp covers, yeah, this is a really very similar phenomenon. Mirror phenomenon in fact. Phallic empowerment sisters! High heel boots and swords baby.../

And now for something completely different: here is the list I made

Never mind Stephenie, what about Cassandra Clare? Her Mortal Instruments series are amazing, and she's got another series called The Infernal Devices out soon as well. She's LEGEND, I love the MI books!!
I will eviscerate you in fiction. Every pimple, every character flaw. I was naked for a day; you will be naked for eternity.

Deceiving others. That is what the world calls a romance.

Cassandra Clare has been added to the list!
'Twilight' I believe I've covered in this bit at the introduction:
Anyway, here is the list I made. Now, I know the big names which immediately jump to mind: Anne Rice, Charlaine whatever /the southern vampire lady/, the Meyer woman, Patterson's Maximum Ride stuff...
...Lets just assume this bit is a place of honor for people too big to be in the list proper :smt003
