You can stab someone with a pen, but you can't write with a sword.
{Insert witty and/or memorable movie quotes here} [Give credit so I don't die by lawyer]

{Follow up with mention of worth-while activity that betters the YWS community}

{Insert link to activity}

{Insert well-humoured internet bribery to entice viewers to join in the activity}

That is so unbelievably true.

WAITASECOND. You can write with a pen if you use the blood of the person you just stabbed. But then you'd stab the paper. Nerrmind.
I am nothing
but a mouthful of 'sorry's, half-hearted
apologies that roll of my tongue, smoothquick, like 'r's
or maybe like pocket candy
that's just a bit too sweet.

The pen. Think about it, there are TONS of written records of history, but not a lot of collections of old swords. Plus, if you want to make a true impact on someone, it would be better to do it with words, than swords.

The pen, 'coz only it can write vunderful stories. The best that the sword can do is destroy stories out of jealousy.

PEN!

Most writers can't use a sword, can't we?

A pen creates, while a sword destroys.

Well, I guess if you stab someone's eye with a pen then that would kind of hurt... :D

This question is kind of bias since we're on a writer's site ;)

But yes, words can speak so much more than killing can. Taking away someone's life accomplishes nothing.

The pen! Everything can happen in your stories. You can take the annoying neighbour from reality and make him shut up on paper! :D

What if there's an apparatus that functions equally as both a pen and a sword (or maybe a dagger)? Think about it, my friends.
