I usually write a lot of new stuff on Halloween so I guess it is inspirational, plus I try and research through the internet and books on the tradition.
We get off to the rhythm of the trigger and destruction. Fallujah to New Orleans with impunity to kill. We are the hidden fist of the free market.
We are the ink, we are the quill.

It gives you a good reason to watch old scarry movies, see little kids in princess outfits(though they should be able to wear whatever they want whenever they want to. Adults are too scared to). And lets not forget the mounds of candy. I think Christmas's cookies are better, but we must fatten up for winter now, before the cold really sets in. Or at least thats my excuse for eating too many KitKats, Snickers, and M&M's, my personal favorites.
It's quite an odd "holiday" though. It's as fun or miserable as you make it.

Its fun, though I'm soon to be too old (CRAP!). Free candy, terrorizing little children (just kidding), and the opportunity for my best friend and I to be completely crazy; I wouldn't miss it for the world. (Having a concealing black hood/cloak doesn't hurt either.)
It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen. - George Orwell, 1984
In England it is little celebrated. We dont have swarms of children knocking door to door begging for 'candy' we have a few odd people who do little to dress up and are too old for it forcing money out of defenseless old ladies.
Its an excuse to terrorize and cause damage to peoples homes.
Trick or Treating is a sham and shouldnt be allowed, the amount of elderly people that are frightened in their homes is unbelievable.
