Wiiiiiiiith National Poetry Writing Month around the corner, we on the YWS staff wanna know if you'll be participating in NaPo on our turf! The answers should be clear-cut enough, but everyone: feel free to do some convincing in the comments. We'd hate to see poor souls miss out!

Need an option between "Nothing on this PLANET could stop me!" and "30 poems in a month? Th-that's a lot..." because I'm like "ya, I wanna try" and I know how it goes so I'm not sh00k by the 30 poems, but I'm also not as dedicated as the top option
so "ya, I wanna try"

Prok once said something about Nate and apple pie. I forget the context.
I am REALLY EXCITED FOR NAPO in case you couldn't tell from my excessive wall-posts in March.
Also a note of encouragement for people who might be on the fence about NaPo - I would say that NaPo is more about celebrating poetry writing and experimenting with your poetry style than the numbers aspect of it. Like bragging about writing a poem every day in April feels good, but if that doesn't work for your schedule it's still totally acceptable and awesome if you want to set a different goal for your own NaPo writing. Whether that goal is cramming all 30 poems into the weekends because that's when you have time to write, or having a goal of 15 total poems, or one poem a week - it still gives you a chance to participate. There's no harm in trying, and I look forward to see what the wonderful poets of YWS come up with in April!
Spoiler! :
Also I'm guessing at this point it is very unlikely that someone hasn't heard about this, but if you're thinking about doing NaPo feel free to check out our inspiration thread for the ideas/inspo/planning aspects of it: Inspo for NaPo
you should know i am a time traveler & there is no season as achingly temporary as now
I didn't do NaPo last year because of my busy schedule so I've spent all year wanting to do it this year, only to find that this year's schedule is just as busy if not busier. Add that to trying to work on two novels and have a deadline for those and yeah... I wasn't thinking I was going to be able to do NaPo at all.
But I sort of hit a breaking point last night wrt stress where I just decided that I'm going to do whatever the heck I want to do when it comes to writing for a while, even if that means switching projects a lot, because I have too much work to do and I want writing to be purely fun right now, not work. SO this suddenly makes NaPo totally possible again and I'm super excited! I probably won't manage a poem a day, but 15ish poems would be great.
We're all stories in the end.

I think you, @Deanie and I are like the Three Book Nerd Musketeers of YWS. -bluewaterlily
@Lumi did you see my shiny thread (currently under construction) in the NaPo forums? If not: Lizz's Lazy Lizzard Lounge Do you think I would create that just to fake everyone out?
I'd love to participate - last year was a lot of fun - but I'm in Japan then home for five days then off to Vietnam and I just feel like all these long-haul flights aren't going to be conducive to writing poetry!
"Stella. You were in my dream the other night. And everyone called you Princess." -Lauren2010
@StellaThomas --> For my forgetfulness, I swear to write a poem during NaPo about Pat Buchanan. You have my word. Also! Japan and Vietnam! I'd wager to say that you'll be brimming with new inspiration for any fun writing at all!

I'll try NaPo again this year! I'm fairly out of practice with poetry, but it's always fun to attempt to improve!

Definitely doing NaPo this year, though I doubt I'll do 90 or so poems as I did last year. I'm a little rusty right now with writing poetry though I've been missing it and I'm hyped to do NaPo!
