Okay so I'm writing a fantasy novel but I'm not too sure how to start... Well, actually I was thinking of something like this:
It was 7 minutes to midnight and Reeve was still wide awake on his bed...
So after a couple o' paragraphs of introducing my character, he was suddenly lying face-down on what felt like grass...

the main question is: Should I let him fall in the next chapter or something? Is everything happening so quickly? Thanks in advance... :D :D :D

Write the thing.

Seriously, you will never know what works and what doesn't unless you actually write, then get feedback on the text itself instead of just the general idea.

Everything, and I mean everything, in writing can be done well, just as everything can be done poorly. Some things have a certain predisposition to be "good" and "poor", but things like how a beginning is structured? No way to tell until you write.
A writer is a world trapped in a person— Victor Hugo

Ink is blood. Paper is bandages. The wounded press books to their heart to know they're not alone.
