I'm writing three different novels, one set during the Great Depression, the other set in World War II, and the last set during prairie times/westward expansion. I've been searching through Google and history books to find the right info I need, but I haven't found much. I mainly need all the little details about life back then.
Here is a list of things I would like to find out about each of the periods in history.
1)What men and woman wore.
2)The average household tasks of men, women, and children.
3)The average income of a household.
4)What were popular books and movies during those times?
5)What was the average marrying age?
6)What did the houses look like? (Inside and out)
7)What are some of the average items you would find in a teenagers room?

If anyone could answer any of those question, and could give me any random facts, I would be really happy. :elephant: And please take note that the books during The Great Depression and World War II are set in the mountains of Virginia.
Also, if any of y'all know any good links or informative books about The Great Depression, World War II, or the prairie times, you'd make me even happier. :D
