If you're looking for violence
You've got Picts raiding across, Scots raiding across, Scots fighting Vikings, William the Lion's failed invasion of England, Alexander II invading England and making it to Dover, Scottish Wars of Independance, James the IV's invasion of England and the Battle of Flooden, the Jacobite Rebellions and nowdays the occasional pub fight.
If at first you don't succeed then destroy any evidence that you ever tried
