So, sorry to post two topics here so close together, but I really, really need help with something for my novel. It just seems to be stalling me. What did the Irish wear during the Great Potato Famine? Right before it happened? During the worst of it, like Black '47? What did they wear to America? What was everyday clothing? What did the English landlords wear during the Famine, both before, during, and after? Was everyone in rags? Was there normal clothes?

I am so lost. I have looked EVERYWHERE, and I mean EVERYWHERE. There's no sources at all! If anyone can direct me to a website, book, magazine, whatever, that has this information, I would be eternally grateful, and I would supply you with chocolate chip cookies for the rest of your life.

Seriously now, who wouldn't take up an offer like that? :P

A thousand thanks in advance. :)
