I'm not really sure what to call my main species. I've been using demons but it doesn't feel right. Their immortal, very powerful, and most have special gifts like pyrokenisis and flight but magicians and socerers just don't have the right feel.

Has anybody ever heard of anything like this in mythology or folklore?

Hm, I'm sorry, I don't have any suggestions to what you could call them, but when I'm doing something along the lines of demons and things, I search different words in Latin and the one that sounds the best is the one I use.
