This is not really research but more of a think-tank of sorts. Come up with an object (preferably one found in nature), a color, an emotion (describe if it is not your average black and white happy, sad, angry.) , a physical sensation, a sound, and a smell. The idea is to make each of these things as vastly different from the object as you can, but then have them apply to the object. For example:

object: Grass
color: Gray
emotion: Hystaria
physical sensation: cold
sound: Hollow buzzing
smell: hamburgers

Take one of the suggestions in the post above you and list it below your object as well. The more the two dont seem to fit together the better.

This is for a story that I am geting ready to write so all help is appreciated.
