Marion hummed. "Toaslandia traditions always fascinate me. Wish danishes." She smiled. "I like it."

“Thank you,” Cristina told Sir Edward. Then she took the danish and bit into it, closing her eyes as she savored the soft pastry. The lemon curd blended perfectly with the sweetness of the rest of the danish, and as the confection practically melted in her mouth, she made her wish.
Lady Marion gestured to one that was twisted and covered in poppy seeds. It smelled of remonce, absolutely heavenly.

"You're a gentleman and an officer." Aeron bowed and took a cinnamon danish, flashing a quick, easy smile. "Thank you kindly, good sir."
He wasn't sure he believed in wishing upon danishes. But he was all about good vibes and starting a journey with positive energy. And he was also all about sweets.
He thought for a moment, then closed his eyes and made his wish, then bit into the danish, filling his entire mouth. It was bliss. He made a contented grunt as he began munching.

The king of Toastlandia sat at his throne. Beside him, a messenger was saying something in a low voice. He furrowed his brow.
As it turned out, an ongoing strike at the docks was making travel by sea impossible. He sent the messenger to inform the knights of this predicament, eager to see what they would choose to do.

"Burnt crusts . . . It looks like we have no choice but to travel by land," said Sir Edward to the group.
Lady Marion hummed. “Well then, I suppose that will have to do.” She turned to Sabrina. “But I will follow my lady. Do you still wish to proceed?”

Crissy hummed thoughtfully. “The roads should be in decent condition, at least close to the capital. Will we be walking, or does His Majesty see fit to provide us with some other means of transportation?”
"Of course we will all be going by horseback," said the King. He called to one of his stewards. "Jeeves, bring me my saddle. It's been a while since I have ridden a horse."

Meanwhile, Sir Edward had pulled out a piece of parchment and laid it on the floor. He began to sketch a rough map of Toastlandia from memory. "The oldest way to get from the capital to Butter Dragon Isle is actually by crossing the kingdom westwards, until we arrive at a port city on the west coast. From there, it is only a short ferry ride to the isle."
He also drew in his favourite inn, The Cavorting Croissant, as a little spiral on the outskirts of the capital city.
Marion hummed. “Unfortunately, I haven’t quite got all of the ways to travel from kingdom to kingdom quite yet, so I trust all of you to find the best way.”
