With hours of deliberation between your main hostus with the mostus Lauren2010 and I, we have determined the results of the villanelle writing challenge!

These winners have shown an excellence in not only entertaining us judges, but in the mastery of the structured style and skills in being great poets!

I bring to you,

The winners:

BRONZE

@Querencia who took Bronze with her haunting poem about the moon!

SILVER

@inktopus who took Silver with a touching story of loss.

GOLD

And @alliyah who took home the Gold with a twisting inquisition of our stars!

Amazing job guys! Everyone who participated did great with the structure, so this was very hard to judge. A big round of applause for all who attempted it including

@Kays @Lightsong and @TheSilverFox thank you for your participation!

It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle. The door opened on to a tube-shaped hall like a tunnel: a very comfortable tunnel without smoke, with panelled walls, and floors tiled and carpeted, provided with polished chairs, and lots and lots of pegs for hats and coats—the hobbit was fond of visitors. The tunnel wound on and on, going fairly but not quite straight into the side of the hill —The Hill, as all the people for many miles round called it—and many little round doors opened out of it, first on one side and then on another.
