The Official, First-Ever Writer of the Week Contest

The Writer of the Week Fan Club is hosting a Writer of the Week-themed contest!

Prompt: Write a short story, poem or article/essay about Writer of the Week. That's the prompt; incorporate Writer of the Week into your piece somehow. For example, write a poem about how awesome/how much you love Writer of the Week, or a short story about a girl that becomes Writer of the Week and then turns into a writing superhero! (Yes, bad example, but you get what I mean.)

Another example of how a WOTW-themed poem might start (written by Lucrezia):

Oh, Writer of the Week,
Or WOTW,
How I love you so.
You give writers a chance to be acknowledged,
Spread cheerfulness,
And keep YWS awesome.

Get the idea?

Rules: Must be handed in by May 10th. Must be rated 12+ or less. Must be two thousand words or less. Any genre is accepted, and can be written as either an article/essay, poem, or short story but not a chapter.

Please post it as you normally would, through the Publishing Center, and then post a link to it to this thread.

Prizes: The first-place winner will get a whopping 10,000 points, as well as four reviews on works of their choice. Runner-ups will get mentioned in an article.

Please respond to this thread if interested in entering. Subscribing to the Writer of the Week Fan Club in order to enter this contest is not necessary, but appreciated. Here's the link: clubs/1870

I'm going to enter, but I have a question. I feel more comfortable writing in a screenplay format, so can I write a screenplay?
