An angel, a knight, a man who will bring light to where there is only darkness, I am the Morning Star, the Bringer of Light, hail to me as I am King Lucifer!
It really sets up for the next book, and my view on Leo has altered from being this wininey brat who can control fire to a mecanical engineer bad*ss.

Yea, plus the twist of Leo being Sammy's grandson was also very shocking. No one could put the twist together early on because we never see Sammy around until this book.

Well... you kind of had to figure he was related to Sammy. Or even tempt the thought of him being a reincarnate or something. But the memory was definitely a little shocking.
I'm never what I like I'm double sided And I just can't hide I kind of like it When I make you cry 'Cause I'm twisted up, twisted up Inside
Yea, cause since Son of Neptune, I was always thinking he was some sort of reincarnate of Sammy. Seeing that memory really answered the connection between Leo and Sammy, also I have a question that probably won't be answered. Considering how much effort Gaea had put into her planning, did she know all along that her son Kronos was going to be defeated? Cause when you think about she would to have known that he would be.

Yea cause, it seemed a little to perfect that right after Kronos defeat that Gaea started to become active in her movements. But I honestly don't see what she would gain by testing the strongest, I could see something along the lines of glory and fame among the ranks of Gaea. But it's really stupid.

It's still stupid out of any point of time, she could have just hijacked a demigod from either camp, or a female demigod from one of the camps and used Nico and the female demigod to awaken her, and then it would have been game over before Kronos was ever defeated.

Blah, bottomline is, Gaea overthinks things WAAAAY to much. K-I-S-S is what she needs to do.
