thought all you englanders out there might enjoy this little slice of my life....

Last year at my highschool we had two students from england because of their parents and the navy or something like that. David, the newest one was a really good friend of mine, had french with me. Well the class he had after french was Pre-Calc, pointless class if you ask me. But the problem was that the prof was of Irish decent, and well David's accent was very british... thus lots of nasty remarks from her about england and such, pillaging and colonization...

So on St. George's day for pay back we (meaning me, David, and Lindsey, the other brit) dressed all in red and white, and even though I never had her we snuck into her class room, and drew a huge union jack on her chalk board. David stuck stickers of the flag everywhere.

When she saw what was done she immediately blamed David, and this was his reply, "What? I can't celebrate my country's day? Bollocks you wear enough green to be a shrub on St Pats."

just thought I'd share, even though it's not for what, two months...

Very cool but ...

Why was a Union Flag (it's only a Union Jack when flown on a ship) drawn on an English day? The UNion Flag is for Britain. Wouldn't it have been better to actually ... uh .. y'know ... do a St.George's flag considering it was ... uh ... St. George's Day ... ?

I don't know I'm not british!.... my lingo's all wrong... I think the reason for the flag was because he really wanted to rub it in, everywhere else we drew what I think it the St. Georges flag...

If he was English then it'll be the white flag with a red cross.

yeah St Georges everywhere else, he put a few stickers on her podium of the red and white flag, and we drew the Union Flag on the board.

And Jack, the reason I called it the Union Jack is because I've been watching too much Hornblower....

Egads I love that show... I just got Hornblower in the West Indies at the English bookstore here in town, C.S Forester is my hero.

The most important thing is to preserve the world we live in. Unless people understand and learn about our world, habitats, and animals, they won't understand that if we don't protect those habitats, we'll eventually destroy ourselves.
