Post about the nice things in 2005! Here are mine.

Going sailing in Maine by myself.

Finding YWS! (Thank you, RiverGirl and BlackDaisy!)

This:
The Silent Aviator wrote:First and foremost, those are kickass drawings! :D Nice work. It's easy to tell that you know what you're doing.

Watching Howl's Moving Castle, lol.

Turning 14.

Meeting everyone here. Such a high concentration of nice people!

Going to a public school for the first time.

Visiting Hanes.

This:
Jojo wrote:I honestly love it. And the gaps between chapters are almost seeming planned. The diction is very good, so are the descriptions. The way the history was presented through a dream also appealed to me.
Waiting for more, although don't want to rush you. I'm feeling now what I had felt after reading my first Harry Potter book. It's like I have just drunk the costliest wine on the planet, and my thirst just won't quench now.

Being VIP on YWS.

Thats all for now. Whats everyone elses? :)

Getting together with Kevin.
Getting my first kiss.
Getting several kisses after. ;)
Putting an end to a few... dilemmas.
Finding out who I am.
Getting my driver's license.
Losing weight!
Finding out just how much Kevin loves me.
Modding for YWS.
Getting to know a few members even more.
Finally becoming an upperclassman.
Learning that I CAN handle the work if I try hard enough.
Having my dad finally accept and like Kevin.
Doing NaNoWriMo.
Getting a digital camera.
Being flute section leader.
Playing several piccolo parts.
Gaining a home and a family.
Finally learning what true love is all about.
Being completely happy.
Coming up with dozens of new inside jokes with friends at camp.
Silver Lake Band Camp.
And a million other things... *laughs* This was a very good year for me. Well, the second half of the year, anyway. :)

*Getting my first job
*Seeing two broadway shows and getting goosebumps in both
*Reading about a bazillion awesome books in Omnibus
*Learning that just because my friends are older, doesn't mean they're wiser
*Becoming a leader to my younger sisters
*Learning that it's not the end of the world when a sister goes to college, that the pain does fade, that you learn to make adjustments, and that life goes on.
*Learning that having a crush on an older guy who doesn't know you exist sucks, but you get over it.
*Losing weight :D
*Turning sweeeet sixteen
*Deciding that I want to be a writer
*Learning love my education, even when I want to drop out of high school because it's so dang hard
*Developing more of a definite personality of my own, instead of just going along with my friends
*Learning how to put on my makeup the right way, lol
*NOT getting my first kiss... I think the anticipation will make it all the better
*Learning to appreciate little moments with my friends at school and with my family at home, because I know that soon I'll be in college and I won't have those anymore.
*Joining the YWS, of course!
*My MSN RPing sites... they've done wonders for my characters.

It's been a good year. It's been pretty tough at times, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.

EDIT: Thought of more.
*Getting my permit and coming thisclose to getting my license
*Being asked to be a mod on the YWS (I went around telling everyone, even people who don't know the site exists)
*Sharing my writing with people I actually know
*Learning that books really can change lives
*Be more open-minded about my future and knowing that I don't have to do what I'm expected to, or even what I've expected of myself for years.
*Learning to have understanding for people who come from different backgrounds, have different foibles, idosyncrasies, etc.

January: can’t recall anything that nice except “Yeah! Another New year for me and everyone else!!”

February: Spending splendid time with pals on the School picnic day.

March: Coming first (academically) in seventh standard’s final term with a modest 91.82% (I hate boasting)
Fantastic Family trip to Malaysia and doing tons of cool stuff there.

April: sitting beside my best friend, Sayani in eighth standard{*1} (little did I know that eighth standard would be so hectic!)
Celebrating (not really) ten years of friendship with Sayani.
Celebrating (this time for real) my pet cat, Pagol’s second birthday. (Aww…)

May: Watching all new episodes of Pokemon.
Singing Westlife’s “When You’re Looking Like That” on a small stage (solo) which was on my Dad’s B-day.

June: Telling one of Shylock’s (yes, from The Merchant of Venice) for school’s English elocution contest (unfortunately for me, I did not bag the first or second positions.)
Big Brain storm : creativity begins-look out poems (loads), short stories (few) and a fantasy novella (still incomplete).
July: Getting my hands (paws) on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince on the world wide release date nad reading it with extreme thirst.
Being declared as a member of our school’s Library Squad and getting a shiny badge for that.
Being declared as one of the ten members of our school’s Literary Club cum School Magazine’s Editorial Board. (No shiny badge for this though).

August: birth of Pagol’s kitten- Ping and beginning of hours of fun and play with the new arrival and her mother. (Am I not a true cat maniac??!!)

September: Singing Backstreet Boys’ “I Want It That Way” with two of my friends for Teachers’ Day {*2} celebration at our School (that was quite a hit!)
Joining Young Writers Society (thank you J.Haux)
Starting to meet all the amazing kids in here (especially you jennafinna!)

October: turning fourteen (actually I hate growing up!)
Coming first in this standard’s half-yearly Term (though my percentage saw a dreadful decline-oh the pains and pangs of downfall)
Vowing (to myself) that I will never repeat the terrible academical performance.
Finally laying my paws on and reading the much awaited “Eldest” and other coveted story books.

November: making my beloved grandparents happy by surprising them with hand made gifts on their Birthdays.
Having a brilliant time on Children’s Day {*3}at school and enjoying the grand shows put up by our teachers.

December: participating in five subjects in our School Exhibition-making seven superb charts for that (including two on my favourite author- Roald Dahl).
Watching “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and liking it a lot.
Enjoying (still) a nice Wintre Vacation.
Making (my very first cooking experience) a lip-smacking chocolate cake (wish you all could have a nibble from it) with my brother Soham (yes-the limerick lunatic) for our mum.
Surprising mum on her B-Day (30th Dec) with that cake and then feasting on it!
Remembering all the good (and bad) thing of 2005 and foretelling things of 2006.

Overall nice things: Laughing and giggling (with and without valid reason) 24x365;
Playing with and cuddling Pagol and Ping; Drawing cool Pokemon; spending terrific time in here and at school; reading loads of marvelous story books; laughing and cracking jokes; making fun of most of my classmates and laughing at them; writing many poems and stories; trying to complete my never ending novella; laughing at myself; studying moderately hard; sleeping and having dreams and nightmares (I enjoy having nightmares); watching few great movies; listening to loads of English Pop by Westlife, Backstreet Boys and other bands and singing out loud; watching a lot of cartoons and laughing; waiting for the release of the concluding books of Harry Potter and Inheritance; loving a lot and being loved a much more lot (and hated???)

{*1} In India or school’s session starts from April and ends in March.
{*2} In our country, 5th September is observed as Teachers’ Day to commemorate the Birth anniversary of one of our former President who was a great teacher himself.
{*3} 14th November is celebrated as Children’s Day to commemorate the Birth anniversary of our first Prime Minister who really loved children.

Happy New Year everyone!!!

2005 was a pretty decent year for me.

Having the courage to try out for a school play...I made callbacks! Which is good for a stupid freshman with a sore throat...at least I think so.

Making some new friends. Which is always good.

Writing more and more and more...

Hanging out on YWS.

Losing some weight...that hopefully I won't gain all of it back this winter.

Summer camp.

Quitting my paper route, which freed up my Thursday and Saturdays...except for the no-money part.

Getting highlights. I rather enjoy my blondeness.

Expanding my musical horizons a little bit...this MUST be continued in 2006.

Pre-Calculus...LOL...well I get to stare at that one hot guy:P
