meh, I screwed up with the layers in the second panel. Oh well. Here's the update. Sorry for the delay.
Life is not swell for the frightened spider. Its dash for safety is promptly interrupted by another, larger, more aggressive-lookign albino spider, which devours it immediately. Life is not swell for that spider.
Audy digs speedily.
Omnibus moves eastwards.
Lumi's counter is successful. The wolf dies. Lumi gains another 2xp!
Judas gathers berries. He also gains another 2xp!
Alpha strikes the goblin again.
Lost deals the finishing blow.
They both gain 1xp!
The other goblins charge. It is battle.
A non-biased tip. You might want to finish those goblins off quickly, and probably start setting up a fort or something.
Lumi is exhausted from the fight, apprehensive about the falling dusk. The birds above call out in the pouring rain, and they all seem like harbingers of something more dangerous than a small pack of wolves. Lumi rips out the skull of a wolf and, beneath a small clap of thunder, uses its blood to write a save state. He then places the skull in his inventory and measures his options. To the east, he can hear the sounds of continuing battle. In the western sector...only the heavy breathing of his comrades. He peers at the trees, at Judas and Fiend, and at the upturned soil marking the beginning of Audy's tunnel.
"Some food sure would be nice, wouldn't you s--" Lumi clutches his stomach and heaves up blood from his guts, splattering on the grass and rocks, coating them in a fleeting sanguine as the rain begins to clear it away. Light-headed, Lumi sits on a rock and puts his head in his hands to regain constitution.

The sun had already stretched over most of the sky and meeting the land on the Eastern horizion. Omni could feel the oncoming darkness enveloping the land, racing its way to him. To the East, he could see nothing, and it was getting harder and harder to distinguish things. There was a hole close to him, with Audy shouting at him, but the words didn't make it to his ears.
"I won't fit," Omni whispered, and Audy turned to him. "You'll stay with Lumi then, he's too weak to stay underground."

There is a sudden stillness in the air… like a great wave, perfectly poised, captured in the moment before it crashes down, sweeping civilization away. The birds flee the sky, and anything living can feel a chill from a distant gate, leading to a land where no life grows, and incorporeal presences manifest themselves, ready to bring souls to that land...
Lumi successfully creates a save.
Omnibus grabs the skull.
Alpha tosses herself into the hole.
so does Shady. Her attempts at widening the hole are somewhat unfruitful.
Fiend also joins Judas. They are acutely aware of how little space there is.
Lost strikes the goblin with savage might, dealing large damage even though it had raised its shield in a useless attempt to protect itself.
the other goblins take one look at the sky and run.
