I open my eyes and study her, taking a deep breath. Bringing myself to sit up, I ignore the throb in my torso and wrap an arm around her. My hand sets over hers, and I rest my chin on her shoulder.
"How did you get here anyway?" I ask.

Two questions. One: where's J&R? (I'm bringing J in anyway, but I honestly don't remember and thought it would be wise to have some knowledge of where they've been...) Two: do you just want to skip ahead to the fun stuff or stick around this stuff for a while?

Smiling and nodding back, I take a deep breath and think of what to talk about next. Before I can say anything, though, Jace flashes in out of breath and wide-eyed and drops where he stands. I watch him, but don't worry or wonder why he fell in the first place. He'd tell me.
He crawls over to the couch and holds a finger up to tell us to hold on as if we were going to say anything. With a sigh, I watch him catch his breath and compose himself and wait for him to speak.
"You're not dead," he says, confused. "That's great, don't get me wrong, but I'm extremely perplexed. Alyx dropped in and every time he does I end up popping in a few seconds too late and having to--"
"Do we have to talk about this right now?" I ask.
