Hey there! I've been trying to post a short story of mine today and each time I hit submit it says I have too many words and that the maximum is 10,000. I would understand if I was anywhere near 10,000 but alas, I am not. The true word count on my story is 3,348. Not even close to the 13,376 that it keeps telling me I am trying to submit. Anyone know what is going on and how I might go about fixing this?

I'd post that here. It sounds like a bug.

Alright, I got it to work by pasting it from Google Docs into a normal text file. Apparently copying things from Google Docs causes a problem somewhere.

It could be that Google adds a ton of hidden things for formatting and whatnot, which inflates the count? I've found I have to be careful where I copy stuff from before I put it into other sources— it tends to get screwy.

I feel like it will be absolute hotdog water, but oh well. It's just a draft.
