I've seen countless people doing this lately, and I have no idea how... Any help?

Ctrl + Print Screen.

Then you can paste your screenshot on like MS paint or whatever you want just by opening the program and pressing Ctrl + V.

Then, you can crop it or whatever else you want to do from there.

Another good way to do it if you have Firefox is to download the Screengrab! extension at:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1146/

With that, you can save the entire page as a screenshot or just what you see or just a small selection. Just be careful to check whether .jpg or .jpeg is added on to the end of the screenshot when saving it. If it's not there, then just add it on.

For hp and quite a few other laptops, it's done by holding down the function key (A key with the letters fn in a square box) and then tapping the kep with prt sc in a square box.

I have Firefox and just downloaded Screengrab! Thanks! But I don't know where to find it now. How do I open it?

For others wondering this, and for those who have macs, you can use Shift-command-4 to limit the screenshot to a controllable area.

Also, and I'm just throwing this out there, but depending on what computer you have, you might have a Snipping tool in your Accessories. I know my school laptop had one. Also, if you have Microsoft Word OneNote, you can just hit the little start button and the S-key and it will let you select areas of the screen.
