The question is fairly straightforward: I haven't seen a "delete" button for works in the publishing center, and I have a lot of drafts in there that have been sitting there for months since I decided not to finish them, or whatever. I've looked around, but haven't seen a delete button for any of those works. Is there a way to delete unpublished works from the Publishing Center, and if so, what is it?

No, works can't be fully deleted. This is because they could have reviews on them, and deleting the works would delete the reviews, which would be unfair to the reviewers. The best you can do is set them to private and/or remove all the text from them.
I sympathize, though - my drafts are pretty cluttered too and I wish I could put drafts in folders instead of having them all together. But that's the way the code works.

So no works can be deleted even if they've never been published?

Unfortunately not! I suggest putting those works in a separate folder that's called 'Unpublished' or 'Deleted' to keep all of those literary works that are drafts or works that have been unpublished in one place. I have a folder just for that and I'm going to suggest doing the same--that's what I've found to be the best solution, anyway.
