GengarIsBestBoy wrote:Howdy hey! I have a question!

Is there any way to delete a story draft? There’s a story in my drafts folder that kinda just gets in the way and I’d like to delete it, is there a way to do that?

@GengarIsBestBoy hey there! You can delete drafts in your Settings. Click the "Gear" icon, go to "Manage Drafts" in Overview, and you can select the draft you'd like to delete, and there is a delete at the bottom.

Hope that helps! Poke me if you have any further questions on that

Oop, okay! That may mean that it has already been published but put to private so no one can see it -- which means it's no longer a draft.

With published works, public or privated, there's really no way to easily delete those. But what you can do is use that draft as a future published work! Simply edit the contents and title and voila, it's like the old draft didn't exist.

@Omni

I’ve never published this draft, though; its still in my draft folder. Maybe it’s a site bug?

I apologize! Those drafts are for forum posts -- I do not believe there is a way to delete drafts persay, but the option above for editing as a future work to publish is still an option.

Hey, I have a question regarding Camp NaNo. I was thinking about doing Camp NaNo, but due to my pea brain, there is just… something that I am not understanding.

What do people do with the novels they’re writing? Like, I wanna actually post mine to YWS, but I haven’t seen anybody else do that?? What is everyone else doing with their novels?

Please help fill in the gap in my understanding

Hey @GengarIsBestBoy!

You can most definitely post your Camp Nano novel here on YWS! It is entirely up to you -- if the authors writing through Camp Nano don't post their work on YWS, there can be many reasons for that. Maybe they're line editing and don't want to publish to YWS because they're wanting to publish as a book, maybe they don't want feedback or don't want to share their work just yet. Lots of reasons, but don't let that stop you from sharing your Camp Nano project ^^

@Omni I just learned from this above exchange that you can save forum thread drafts. I somehow never knew this because I never click "full-reply" oh my.

Hi! I have an RP question. For roleplays that have a thingy where you save a spot first, should you create your character when you save that spot, or should you wait until right before the roleplay starts?
The problem with quotes found on the internet is that they are often not true.

You can do either! Sometimes people start making a character immediately, sometimes they take a while to create them. It depends on the person! So it's entirely up to you when you do. Sometimes people have a fully formed idea when they join, sometimes not. Hope that answers your question!

Sorry I'm asking another question, but what does the asterisk on the topic icon mean? As in, what's the difference between this

and this?

Thanks!

That's for when a topic is very "hot", or popular. Basically one that people respond to a lot.
