I started writing for the same reason i do anything, boredom. Even though i love writing it only seems to happen when i have nothing better to do. The only other time I'll write is when its like 3am and i can't sleep, and i'm feeling especially inspired. I also only write poetry or short stories, because i suck at holdling onto an idea long enough to get it down in enough detail for it to be considered a full story. Aside from writing i love music. I play guitar and bass both at school and home. I wouldnt call me particularly good at either of them but I'm getting there.
One more thing, I would be extremely grateful if people would join my forum (link in sig). We have 8 members so far and most of them are very dedicated to the site. Anyone who reads this is MORE than welcome to join, and get in on the ground floor of something that could be big.
