These are some awesome pictures that capture nature's beauty and the harshness of winter. I live in the midwest, so I know very well the danger of ice, but also the beautiful images it can help create.
One quick tip I have is the rule of thirds. Here are some examples:

The rule of thirds can make your photo better in a very simple way. You divide your picture into nine equal squares; the things on the lines or where the lines meet are what you want as your main subject. The things on the lines are what the eyes take the most notice to, and in my opinion and can simply make a picture even more incredible.
