Well, I'm going to start a manga. Right now, I'm just working on characters, plot, all that jazz. I'm developing one character right now.

Image

~~Seika Yuurei~~

A haunted young woman, but by what, we don't yet know. She seems innocent and vulnerable at first glance, but when her katana or wakizashi is in her hand, she is fierce. It is evidant she is not traditionally trained to fight, or even use the weapons, but she is light on her feet, and where she fails in her blade skills, she makes up for in agility.
Her katakana and wakizashi are in the bamboo style- black with golden bamboo detail. The big question is how did she come to aquire a Samurai's blades?

Image

Her head is wrong here- looks too young- so I'll change that, and the katana and wakizashi are funny looking, so I've got to fix those, but this is her outfit ^_^
Plus, as someone pointed out, the top is wrapped the wrong way, so I'm changing that, too heh

I'll post some more as I make them.

Very nice! I really like the first picture, I will never be able to make something that good!

You are a talented artist...keep going!

also her hands, arms, and feet look really small and thin.

I love the first one! It's beautiful.

The second one has weird feet and hands. But still great.

Thanks for sharing. :D

These are so good! And I agree with what Nef said about the second one.

I think Nerfer meant the same thing as me.

Wow, Those are pretty darn cool. Especially the first one..it looks so proffesional!
"Sometimes we see a cloud that's dragonish,
A vapour sometimes like a bear or lion,
A towered citadel, a pendant rock,
A forked mountain, or blue promontory,
With trees upon't that nod unto the world,And mock our eyes with air.."

OK, this is Sen. A young man who gets his butt whooped by Seika in the beginning for reasons not yet admitted to. Anyhow, he becomes student to Mori Keiji (undrawn, as of yet).

Sen's a good guy, willing to help out, sometimes a bit rash, and utterly confused by women. Mostly by Sayaka (another undrawn).

But I'm sure you've noticed my main problem with dear Sen. In that he looks remarkably (and unintentionally, I swear it!) like Spike Spiegel from Cowboy Bebop. So I'm hoping that as I draw him more he'll evolve into an entity all his own.

I love the first one. It seems so full of emotion and the artwork itself is superb. I'm not too sure how I feel about the second one; it seems a bit off-balance, almost as though her clothes are going to make her fall over, but then again, you may have intended it that way. *shrugs*

The guy is pretty cool, but the first one is my favourite, hands down.

Sen looks like someone I know. No, really. It's a frightening likeness.

How do you mean? Any suggestions?

Ooh! Ooh! Can I answer that? :D

She doesn't look balanced. The angle and length of her one leg is awkward. One is bigger/smaller than the other. Look closely, and you'll see it. Her right leg (left side) comes out at a straight angle, and it's shorter than the left. So that's why it looks "weird". She's not propotionate where she should be. Also...is one sleeve arm less full than the other? I'm not familiar with the dress, so it may be. But if it's symmetrical, then there needs to be more fold (whatever) with the right side. In short, I think it's just that her right half is generally smaller than the left half of her body...which makes it not look quite right. I had to print it out to see it all at once...

I'm just trying to answer your question. I think they're very good. :D I'm partial to Sen, because he looks almost EXACTLY like two people I like very much. It's strange... But you portrayed the character/personality into the drawings, which I especially liked. :D Sen has certain innocence about him...at least in the picture. It's his eyes (an mouth). He reminds me SO much of Chris...(Who just had surgery. It got me all shook up.) I LOVE the detail and character of the first one. Great!
