I;m afraid I'm completely unqualified to give any kind of in-depth art critique. That said, I'm going to offer my massively helpful opinion: Her neck is awfully long.

The general shap seems to be in order. Her mouth and right eye are lopsided however. The right side of her face seems a bit to far to the right as well. The sharpness of her jaw makes it look broken.
Other than the symmetry of the face being off a tad, it's pretty good! I'd watch the eyes, though, just make sure you are see what they actually look like rather than making them like you think they should look (.......yea, that made no sense to me either). Great shadowing!
The first thing I noticed was that it seems like her face and facial features are tilted at different angles. You could fix this easily by shrinking and adding more shading to her left cheek and chin.
I don't think her neck is too long. Her hair makes it look that way a little, but her shoulder is there.
Her hairline looks a bit too far back for someone young.
I love her expression. She looks so calm and confident! It's really beautiful. You draw such pretty eyes.

Yes, very nice shading, but from below the nose down to the chin is crooked. The eyes are very dark and big, but perhaps that is because your friend has beautiful eyes?
A nice position of the head, though.
Good portrait!
