Add a little colour to the first or darken your lines so that it's clearer but other than that, it's really cool. I think Jack needs a more interesting posture. He looks a little stiff just standing there so maybe give him a football or something. On second thoughts... Not a football. Nothing sports related. If I remember right, he doesn't like sport too much. Perhaps an instrument?

As for the second, your shading is fantastic. The 'woman's' hair is great and I love how you've done her 'arms.' The background is really bright and eye catching too. Very nice.

1: I think there is a porportion problem in this one. The hands are a little weird on all of them, the back leg on mesh is odd, the leg up on the wall of dono is odd, but I think it's a great start!

2: I absolutely LOVE this concept! It's AWESOME! The lowerback is a little weird, as if the back of the leg(s) but the concept is great. The designs around, although the blue really doesn't match with a tree/forest area, are also great--I wouldn't change them!

1. That is so cool. It looks just like them!!!

2. it reminds me of the girl in Greek mythology who asked the gods to turn her into a tree, and they did. Which automatically earns coolness points. Not to mentioned the colors in the background, which are beautiful. And how the girls fades from a tree, into a person? It's amazing ^_^ I'm also reminded of random creation myths, haha.

Oooer! Pretty. =) The first one is pretty indistinct, and they do look stiff and a little disproportionate, but I could tell who they were! ^^

The second's gorgeous. Nothing more to add than that. ^~

I love the First one. It's a cartoon, not a portrait. The only thing that bugged me was Hunter's leg.

The second one is bloody brilliant. I love the person as a tree and then the abstration of the background is perfect.

If you knew me you'd know I love sport so ... um, okay.

You already know what I think about these.

Empress, I absolutely LOVE your second drawing. It really is mind-blowing. the shades and the four element theme is fantastic!!!
i love using pencil colours too, but after seeing your shading sklills, i have realized that there's a whole new potential of th ecolours that I have never thought of! (actually, i draw simple cartoons).
Anyway, I definitely want to see more pencil colour drawings!

The first is the best; then the third; and I really don't care for the second at all--it's a little too indistinct and vague. The lines and curves in the first and third are absolutely stunning though. =)

I very much like your use of colour. What medium are you using? it looks like coloured pencils.

I kind of thought you could have filled the bottom area of the first pic with the green. It seems empty compared to the rest of the drawing.

The second is my fave, I love the tree for her eye and the fire people are very cool. The symbol in the water drop is a bit confusing though.

The thrid is really cool as well. I like the little fishes in the water. A nice touch.
