Been a million years since I last posted here. Hi!
I hadn't done too much art over the past five months, but this September I started drawing more and picked up my webcomic again. The first two episodes are posted on my deviantart account here if you wanna check it out: https://www.deviantart.com/alydabookwor ... -893266044
This thing is ridiculously time-consuming and labor-intensive, but it's fun and it makes me happy so.. I'll keep it up haha. I think I'll wait on posting it to Webtoon or Tapas until I'm sure I can stick to a regular posting schedule though. 1st episode took a month to make, and the 2nd took five. Soo.. Not exactly ideal. I want to be able to give my readers a new episode every other week, at least.
The plot is also getting more convoluted and takes on more subplots every day, and the cast just keeps on growing. Eh. Guess it's alright so long as I'm having fun.
Here's a sketch dump of old and new art from this year- all comic OC sketches and my favorite panels from the 2nd episode. Also got a pic of my little sister and her pet conure in there c:

And me too! Just gotta figure out a drawing process that doesn't eat up so much of my time. This thing would be like a whole full-time job if I updated it every week like most other comic creators. Don't know how they do it :I
30 days is a bit much for me, so I'm going to do every other day and just stick to the prompts I like. Went a little overboard with the first prompt 'Crystal', but with hope I'll finish this one tomorrow morning and stay on track to finish all 15.
Used the official list and circled the 15 I might use
WIP of the 1st prompt- featuring one of my comic protags
Here's the stuff I did instead- along with that very first prompt, the only one I finished- And actually, no, I didn't finish the shading now that I look at it... aw.
Spoiler! :
I also drew Tyri Vidal, my mage character from storybook Aether's Heart. Here's process sketches and finished art. Her original design art was outdated and made me die a little inside every time I looked at it, so I'm glad I finally got around to drawing her again. Credit goes to soundofmind for the clothing design c:
Spoiler! :
I feel this portrait reflects her personality a lot better than the old art, so even though the shape/texture of her dress came out looking like a weirdly clingy/baggy bedsheet, I'm happy with it overall :'D
And a Luisa sketch from my comic Herald's Soul
Spoiler! :
(her hands are bundled in the sleeves of her dress because she's cold- definitely not because I was too lazy to draw them )
