I tried "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", and scored 57 net WPM, 4 errors, 97% accuracy; I scored a great deal better than I expected.

I remember a novice test I took in eighth grade where I had 237 WPM, but that was spelling out "cat" and "hat"... :D

IM taught me touch-typing. :P

Really, I just learned through practice. I didn't even mean to start touch typing, it just happened. The more I was on the computer and writing, the better I got. Now, I do it without even really thinking.

EDIT: Just retook the test and did soooooo much better... I was tired when I did the last one, so I think that explains things.

New scores are:

Gross Speed: 72 WPM

Errors: 1 Words

Net Speed: 71 WPM

Accuracy: 98%

I learned to touch type by just typing too much on computers and eventually just remembering where all the keys are. I just got used to the keyboard and where all the letters are.
