You have been enrolled into Glades Academy, the best private magic school in modern day. There are no uniforms. The school has a magical boundary that provides an illusion, hiding us from the mortals. It also dispels magic that touches it and keeps mortals out. The magical boundary is shown by a chain-link fence. A large dorm area for all students is provided by the school. The school allows magical companions as guides. You have been informed that fighting upon school campus is allowed, winning provides a grade boost. Losing decreases your grades, and you repair all damaged property. Although there are times when fighting is prohibited. From what you can tell there are distinct groups, though you see a few loners. You mainly see two distinct groups. The Iron(good) students that attempt to keep school in order, and the Venom(bad) students who love to put chaos into the school day. Even though both love to fight with each other, when they come together they call themselves IronVenom and do whatever it takes to protect their school. If a student plans to leave the school they must wear a silver band on their finger, magic users see the band change colors. The band provides heavy illusionary magic, to hide any magic used. Transmutation is also provided so no harm comes to the mortal world.

Hell-Fire is a powerful fire magic that burns the very fabric of space, it distorts the area that is burned. The fires it produces can almost burn someone to the bone.

Black Inferno
Fire + Wind + Molten = Black Inferno
Black Fire is a powerful combination to create a fire that burns though anything, it burns anything fairly quick and if not controled can destroy buildings and kill those caught in the inferno. The only thing that can put out Black Fire is a powerful Ice/Water Mage.
Creeping Ice
Twilight + Molten = Creeping Ice
Creeping Ice is the powerful counterpart to Black Fire, as it's name states, it creeps along floors and walls, freezing anything in its path. Victims caught in Creeping Ice begin to freeze themselves, eventually being killed in it. The only thing that can get rid of Creeping Ice, is a powerful Fire Mage.
Obliteration Magic
Darkness + Light = Obliteration Magic
Obliteration Magic is a powerful magic that only mages who have mastered both Light and Dark magic can use, it takes a natural talent to master both at a fairly young age. And even then Obliteration can only be used every so often or be at the risk of using to much energy and then dying.

Omnia (mage referred to as Omnist) -- Fire + Water + Wind + Earth + Light + Shadow.
Omnia is without a doubt the most powerful of magics, as it allows for discrete control of time and space. Only a highly advanced universalist can master this magic. You can't specialize and then learn this. Only, it takes lots and lots of practice and time to weild this, not exactly the best under pressure.
Holy (mage referred to as Paladin) -- Light + Fire/Water
Paladins are the perfect prototypes of those who uphold justice. Their abilities include healing, either through purifying fire or water, ally-boosting, and so forth. Only a powerful Twilight or Shadow mage may vanquish this element.
Blut Vollmond (mages referred to as sangromancers) -- Shadow + Twilight + Black Fire.
Undoubtedly the least-known type of magic, sangromancers can control blood, and all things related. The implications are obvious, I believe.
